Quick Drabble

He isn't quite sure what brought them to this point. To be honest he doesn't much care. All he really cares about is the way that normally aloof eyes shine when he gets near; the way the usually stern mouth softens into an expression that's almost a smile. The way the confident, drawling voice turns shy as words of love spill from that wonderful, beautiful mouth. Words he never thought he'd hear from anyone.

He may not know how they got to this point, but here they are, and in the end that's really all that matters, is it not?
